We’ve amassed quite a collection of photos of Amsterdam’s ever-changing street art over the past year.  Whatever one’s opinion is on the relative merits (or not) of this urban art form, it cannot be denied that a lot of the work is executed with great skill, passion and, often, humour (not to mention lashings of audacity). Of course it’s unfortunate that not everyone who takes a sharpie or a can of Montana paint to the city streets does so with such aplomb.

Mostly I enjoy encountering an interesting, playful or well-executed piece of graffiti as I move through the city’s streets, especially if it enhances an otherwise bleak urban environment. It’s like following some epic pictographic story in a random order and you’re not quite sure what it all means… but you’re pretty sure that if you keep on ‘reading’ you’ll be glad you did.
