Pictures from a fantastic walk at Gifkommetjie, Cape of Good Hope (part of the Table Mountain National Park, South Africa).
I don’t know why such a beautiful place was given such a harsh name. Gifkommetjie translates roughly as Poison(ous) Little Basin. I can only assume that difficulties in navigating this coastline (there are numerous shipwrecks all along the South African coast) inspired the name? Walking it was decidedly NON-toxic!
